  • Advantage of microperforated fabric diffusers for intensive cooling

Our competitors use permeable material to deliver cold air at low velocities (the Fabric Duct on the left). Note how the air falls in a column below the Fabric duct, a possible cause for discomfort and a lack of distribution.   Although our material is slightly permeable we use microperforations to deliver low velocity cold air (please see the Fabric Duct on the right).  Because we can place these micro-perforations anywhere we choose on the Fabric Duct we can deliver supply air where we want, but still at very low velocities, avoiding the dumping action common with our competitors products.  See how the air moves and diffuses through the room in comparison to the left hand duct.

 

 

  • Micro-Perforations – Uniform Air Pattern

It is possible to create a variety of air patterns using our unique laser cut Micro-Perforation diffusers. Here we see Micro-Perforations placed only on the bottom part of the duct (they can be placed anywhere on the duct circumference).  Here the Micro-Perforations provide and evenly distributed and diffuse air pattern at low velocity – especially important for cooling applications where drafts can create discomfort.

 

  • Microperforation Uniform - smoke test

Our standard Microperforation technology designed to offer a diffuse and low velocity distribution of air from the duct.  Please note as there is little velocity from the duct,  warm air with positive buoyancy (lighter than ambient air) will rise from the Fabric Duct.

 

 

  • Microperforation Directed - smoke test - NEW

Uniquely we possess the ability to actually provide a direction to our low velocity microperforation diffusers, Unlike standard permeable material we can place the micro perforations at angles on the duct circumference to encourage the air in different directions. 

 

  • Membrane diffuser - smoke test 

This combines two types of diffuser into one. The membrane flap is a lightweight non permeable material sewn all along the duct length. The membrane is attached to a two position motor. In heating mode the motor moves the membrane to cover the cooling diffusers located at the top of the duct, the supply air exits the heating perforations on the bottom of the duct. In cooling mode the motor moves the membrane to cover the heating perforations at the bottom of the duct and the cool supply air leaves the perforations at the top of the duct. The membrane allows two totally different diffusion styles in one duct.
